It will be easy if it's you, you know all your secret question, your phone with verification code. But sometimes, your account maybe hacked or if you've got a creeping suspicion that someone else is eyeing your inbox or you receive a weird email from someone you've never known about, you can check your "last activity" and that's what gmail sign up shows you how to do.

Open and sign in your email. In Inbox, scrolling all the way down, and in the bottom right corner there is a tiny sentence, you'll see "Last account activity: X minutes ago". For more information, click "Details" and Gmail will reveal exactly when each IP address accessed your account, plus what type of device they were using and locations. If you find it unfamiliar, it's time to change to another stronger password to protect your information and messages.

If you don't use Google Chrome to sign in your email but it appears Chrome Browser in "last activity", it may be your web browser is a Chromium technology-based one.
